Kays Mguni - Chairman of Board

Kays Mguni (BSc; MSc Electrical Engineering; MBA) serves as a specialist advisor to Datacomb at advisory board level. Kays is also the MD of Sword-SA. With 28 years experience in IT, Kays is an entrepreneur with vast experience in Information Technology project design and Communication in the area of Business Intelligence Systems Integration and Intellectual Property Management. Kays is also a sought-after strategy consultant.


Percy Mkhosi - Chief Executive Officer

Percy has an outstanding track record as an economist (M. Agric Econs; BSc. Hons; MBA Cert) majoring in Tourism Business and Sector Economic Development, Agriculture Economics and Agribusiness. Percy's skills have been gathered over 20 years of work with various private sector corporations, NGOs and development banking institutions. Percy has worked for commercial banks ABSA and NEDCOR, the Development Bank of SA (DBSA) and Ithala Bank. Percy has been involved in Tourism, Agriculture, IT and various Finance and Economic Development projects both in South Africa and in the rest of the African continent.

Edson Mutyavaviri - Management Consultant

With an MBA to his name and experience working in Zurich and London, Edson brings in a wealth of knowledge in finance. He has worked in finance for large companies such as Warner Brothers (UK) and the University of London. Currently, Edson is a level 3 candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme.




Darlington Zhou - Management Consultant

Focusing on creating value, maximising growth and improving business performance for Datacomb clients, Darlington's MBA and varied experience, which ranges from a government ministry to the petroleum industry, enables him to formulate working solutions, and ensure that they are implemented. He has over 10 years experience an economist specialising in research and business development.



Maud Masiyiwa - Senior Consultant

Maud has over 22 years working experience in the Tourism Industry, gained in Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa. She has spent 18 years in Retail Travel and four years in tourism SMME development, soft skills training, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation.

She holds qualifications from IATA/UFTAA Geneva Switzerland; Kenya Utalii College in Nairobi, Kenya; and Graffin College in Nairobi, Kenya. Maud specialises in Tourism Cluster project coordination; Sales and Marketing of Cluster packages; Conference, Workshop, Seminar and Exhibition facilitation; and Tourism Business. She has worked for Air Zimbabwe, Travel World Budget Tours (Zimbabwe), British Airways (Kenya), American Airlines (Zimbabwe), BA Comair Africa, Hatfield Travel, Concorde Travel American Embassy, SAA City Centre Franchise head office and her own franchised retail travel agency.

Sandra Beswick - Board Member

Independent consultant with more than 30 years experience in the financial markets gained at international and local banks and at Treasurer level in a listed Mining House. A wealth of experience in deal generation, investment valuation, structuring of transactions and risk management from small to large businesses in line with stakeholder objectives.

Specialisation includes funding and financial engineering in the SMME sector. Strong involvement in Resources and in particular mining. Achievements include establishing and developing an Incubator fund for SMME black businesses at a major bank within the challenging second economy of South Africa.

Tom Rioga - Datacomb, Tourism Specialist

Tom is a holder of a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) Degree and a Masters Business Administration Degree from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Tom has over 25 years experience in general management in manufacturing, banking, management consultancy and tourism. In tourism he was responsible for strategy formulation and direction as Managing Director of the Rainbow Tourism Group, a diversified tourism group, with three and five star hotels, ecotourism lodges, and an inbound tour operator company.

Tom is currently working with Datacomb Pty Ltd, as a Tourism Specialist. He is currently working on the Highborn Resort Development, a turnkey project, involving the construction of a 200 seat restaurant, conference centre and 200 bed guest accommodations as Project Manager and on the MDP, He provides insights in the customised hospitality training and operations; i.e. Menu pricing, manual stock systems, staff training and more

Albertine Mkhosi - Project Management

Albertine has a track record in Implementation of Environmental Management and Quality Management Systems. She has gathered skills over the past 10 years in the Environmental, Quality Management, OHS as well as project management working for Parastatal, manufacturing companies, Tourism organisation and consulting firm. Albertine has worked for institutions such as Roshcon, an Eskom division, Datanet, PMA Consulting, and Black Knight International.

For the last 3 years Albertine was involved in Operations and currently moved to the Project management office. Her role is to ensuring the implementation of a QMS within the project delivery chain and project manages various projects. Albertine holds an Hns in Environmental Health (University of Johannesburg), MAP (Wits Business School), various certificates in the Environmental management field such as Lead Auditor EMS, EIA, QMS and SHE

Thabo Mpofu - Corporate Services Manager

Thabo has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and over ten years work experience in Financial Services. His wealth of experience has been garnered at both listed and non listed blue chip companies such as IBM, Deutsche Bank, Fincap and New Horizon Investments and his most recent move to Datacomb as Corporate Services Manager where he is responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology and Legal. His focus at Datacomb is to ensure compliance with governance issues both statutory and non statutory for the above named units, to streamline all reporting and ensure full disclosure to the Board of Datacomb and external clients. He will also be responsible for ensuring that human capital and resource issues are addressed as Datacomb embarks on its next level of growth and also to provide direction and guidance with regards to business development.

Pumulani Ncube - Project Manager : MDP & Advisory

Pumulani Ncube has a BCompt Degree from Unisa, he served his articles of clerkship at Grant Thornton (Kessel Feinstein). He has over 10 years merchant banking experience in Southern Africa particularly structured funding solutions. Some of the areas that he has worked on include Film financing, BEE finance, Asset Finance and tax based structured finance and Securitisation.
